His name has been changed to
MICK
in memory of one his new owner's previous Black Labs who's
life was tragically cut short. 

We always name our pups around a theme. As you can see this litter we chose names from the movie "Men in Black."
When you purchase your puppy you can give us your name choice and we will immediately rename the puppy and start calling it by your chosen name. 
 But for now - meet "TommyLee"

Tommy is the puppy we have identified with a green collar.
He is a male.  He is healthy the largest pup in the litter.
With his genetics Tommy should be a fairly large male.

DAY 1

DAY 11

Tommy has his dew claws removed.  He is still the largest pup in the litter but K is giving him a good run for his money.  He's doin' the "frog" here at 11 days old.

DAY 15

Here's the big man.  Tommy's doin a lot of eating and sleeping.  He's started walking and likes to explore, but really likes eating and sleeping.  Probably trying to make sure he stays ahead of K.  He is still the largest pup in the litter but K is giving him a good run.  
At this time Tommy's price is $700.00.

DAY 21

A little ball of TommyLee - Don't know how such a big pup, and large eater like TommyLee managed to curl himself up in such a small ball - but we had to post this pic of him.  Below is a pic of him taken a few minutes earlier - doing what he's REALLY good at right now, sleeping - and another of him getting ready to tackle "the leg".

DAY 23

Mick (TommyLee)  is a Laptopping dog.  Although he did let it be known that he was finished laptopping now and wanted to go back to mom.  He is howling in the pic on the left.  The pic on the right shows him buried in the middle of the pack - you can just see his collar.

DAY 25

 Mick (TommyLee) is trying to get at some of that food that K is hogging.  Eventually he does manage to oust her and he and J go at it for a while.  Mick did like it outside and spent some of the time checking things out.

DAY 28

Mick was very interested in the food, as usual.  The files got corrupted on the many excellent pictures of Mick on day 30.  He really enjoyed playing with the kids that came down to visit.  He also was very curious about checking out all the new interesting sights and smells outside.

DAY 39

Mick also was interested in seeing what was in the water.  Like all the other pups he wasn't actually ready to try going in yet.  When we called the pups to come, he was the slowest, and actually more eager to come back to the camera.

DAY 42

Safe to say Mick is "layed back."  The puddle of black oozing off the counter at the vet's office is Mick.  He seems to be able to sleep anywhere.  When he's tired, he just drops, right where he is and takes a nap.  He weighed in at 11 lbs, 14 oz. so he wound up being a touch smaller than both Kelsey (J) and "K".  The vet did a thorough exam and pronounced him 100% healthy.

Day 47

Mick was very comical planting trees.  Above pic on the right he is sitting nicely, but below, he decided he needed to sit on the tree.  Then he realized he was sitting on the tree.   He got up, stole one of the trees from my bundle, and headed off to my daughter with it.

Day 53

A happy home for Mick.

Mick with his new family.  We met Mick's new owner's in Winnipeg and dropped him off.  You can see Mick on the bottom of the picture.  On the right is Zach, Mick's 3 year old 3/4 brother.  This is this couple's second Red Dog Ranch Lab.  After previously purchasing two Black Labs that turned out to have major health problems, they are extremely pleased that Zach is strong, healthy and problem free and they are eagerly anticipating the same from Mick.  We are thrilled that Mick has been placed in such an excellent home and we look forward to providing them with a third Red Dog Ranch pup when the time comes.
