Robins
Fancy Dancer
"Dollar"
2000 Reg. APHA Paint Gelding
born May 17, 2000
SOLD
The history we have heard on this horse is that he is broke to ride, he was used
in rodeos and gymkhana for barrels and poles
and he was ridden by teenagers.
We've finally gotten around to doing some
riding with Dollar. He is well broke but
a bit rusty. He has a very calm
temperament but I would not consider him
bombproof. He would be suitable for some
beginning adult riders with some basic
instruction. He would be very suitable
for an intermediate to advanced rider.
We had him at a small show on the weekend - he
stood tied to the trailer calmly all day -
didn't put up a fuss when the other horse was
taken into class. He was calm and cool
being ridden around the other horses and in
the arena. He did spook at the
keyhole chalk, but with a firm hand did walk
over it.
Check back in
the next few weeks for more info on this fancy
boy. And check out his
pedigree.
Some people think a few
generations back doesn't make much of a
difference, but it is what the horse is made
of. Check this boy's ancestors - the big
names are all there.
We are asking $2000 for Dollar right now - our
intention is to put some trail miles on him in
the next month and then, providing he is as
easy to get along with on the trail as he is
in the arena and on the yard we will be asking
between $2500 and $3000 for him. He'd
make a nice western pleasure horse with a bit
of work and he seems to be a real nice all
around horse that just needs a little more
riding. He has offered, no bite,
no kick, no rear and just a bit of buck if
loped or cantered cold..
