Frog
has been sold - His new home is in Red Lake
Ontario, and his name is now Payton.
3
1/2 weeks: Frog is an
extremely cute little guy.
A medium size at
this point.

5
weeks: Frog has pretty much caught up with
Schulz at this point. He's a good size, he is
friendly and eager and also sits patiently at your
feet waiting til you're done with the more
boisterous Tank.

7weeks:
Frog is a healthy, frisky pup. He likes
attention, but also likes to be independent.
He is not as heavy set as Tank, Schultz, Roo,
Chudleigh and Gunner, but he will be a fairly
large dog.

10
week update: Frog is actually not independent as
we originally thought, but rather he is timid and
shy. He responds well with encouragement and
was more than happy to pick up the stuffed frog we
threw for him once he figured out what we
wanted. Frog would do very well in a home
with lots of attention.

13
week update: Frog's temperament is exactly like
his mother, Zip's. He loves to be
petted. Frog has been sold and will be going
to his new home in Red Lake, Ontario in early
November. His new name is Payton, and he
will have a little girl named Hali to grow up
with.

Hi Sharalee,
Hope your holidays are
coming together and you and your family are all
in good health. I thought we would send
you an update on Payton along with some
pictures.
We could not be more happy
with Payton. He has been absolutely
amazing. He rode on my lap most of the way
home...what a cuddle bug. He traveled
amazingly with no difficulty at all. He
played shy for the first couple of days while he
adjusted to the cat, Hali and the many doggy
friends that came to visit and welcome him to
Red Lake. Once he became comfortable he
was just like one of the boys...running the
yard, wrestling and of course...trampling my
freshly groomed garden beds! (haha)
He has learned to sit, lay down, and shake a paw
to voice command and hand signals. He is
soooo smart. It took him no longer then
two days to learn each trick. He now
sleeps beside our bed out of his crate at night
time and only goes in his crate when we go to
work. He has only had one night accident.
Otherwise, he comes to (my side of the bed of
course) the side of the bed, puts his paw on my
pillow and puts his little wet nose in my face
snorting persistently until he wakes me to let
him out. He still has the odd accident in
his crate, but he seems to do it as we are
walking in the door...I think he gets excited!
He has made friends with
the cat, and allows her to "rule the
roost" so to speak. One night out of the
blue, the cat came bounding out from under the
table and jumped on him in an attempt to play.
Payton thought it was great, got up and tried
getting her back...the cat ran at the sight of
enormous paws coming at her...but the continue
to play in this manor anyway.
Hali was so happy to see
him when we brought him home that she cried.
She couldn't believe he was hers. They
have made great friends, and we are sure Payton
thinks that he is human. He sits nice to
wait for his dinner, tries to sit in Halis car
booster seat when not occupied by her, and likes
to have a bath! He will let us clip his
nails and brush him with shear enjoyment.
As long as your touching him, he is happy.
He even sleeps with Hali when she has woken in
the night with a bad dream. He goes in to
sleep with her and doesn't leave her until
morning. We are really amazed with him,
and extremely thankful that your family came
into our lives to bring us such a wonderful
addition to our family.
We hope you have a Merry
Christmas and Happy New Year! Enjoy the
pics!

Hello Sharalee,
Fantastic of you to
touch base with us! Our Payton is as
wonderful as the day we got him. He is
still very much a big sucky, craves attention,
and loves the kids. We had a baby in May,
at which Payton was a bit jealous about at
first. (He was used to much, much
attention) Once the baby was around a couple of
weeks he got quite attached to him. He of
course loved to lick Aiden (our son), he layed
next to him if I had him on the floor, and his
been very patient and gentle as Aiden has grown,
become mobile and liked to use Payton as a
jungle gym. To be honest...Payton LOVES
it. It is not at all uncommon to find
Aiden laying on the floor on top of Payton
playing with his ears. (he like the soft feeling
of them I think)
Hali of course, still
has a wonderful playmate in Payton, and in fact
they had a good romp in the snow this morning
before school. It seems I have three
children!
Anyway, I will
indeed send you some pictures when I get to my
other computer. Thanks again for touching
base, it was nice to hear from you. I am
interested in seeing your new litter!
