JOEY
 is a creamy 2003 AQHA reg. buckskin filly.

WHEN EVALUATING THIS HORSE'S TEMPERAMENT KEEP IN MIND THAT WE HAVE NOT WORKED WITH HER AT ALL THIS SUMMER
SHE HAS BEEN OUT IN A LARGE PASTURE WITH OTHER HORSES.  WE GRABBED HER COLD TURKEY, THREW THE SADDLE
ON HER AND STARTED LONGING HER AND WENT TO HER GROUNDWORK - YOU CAN SEE HER GROUNDWORK IS A LITTLE RUSTY.  Take note of her gait in the 2nd longing video as this gives you a good indication of her movement - she is ever so slightly short strided in the back because of her conformation defect.   

 

Joey is approx. 15:1HH and built like a tank.  The above pictures are as a three year old.   She stands quietly when tied, leads very well and enjoys being brushed.  She has had extensive ground work including longing, saddling, bridling, giving to pressure, ground driving, etc.   She is coming along nicely.  Joey also loads and trailers like a pro. 

Joey has been mounted a couple of times but she is NOT BROKE to ride,
 she has a conformation defect in both her hind pasterns and is being sold as
 a companion horse only.  
We are offering her
for $1000 - she is in foal right now and with the $1000 price we would expect the 2008 foal back at weaning time.  She is also offered for $1300 with us getting the 2008 foal back, but we will rebreed her for the new owners for a 2009 foal.  Or she can be purchased for $1500 including the 2008 foal.
 - it is possible that she will never go lame but that the extent of her problems will be a slightly shorter stride in the back.
She should do very well in a situation where she is only ridden lightly or mostly at a walk and a trot - she may stay sound her whole life.
  A great opportunity to own a gorgeous horse for a very good price.
