Schulz
is Sold. His new home is just south of
Winnipeg and his
new name is Zak.
3
1/2 weeks: Schulz is
a big male, mostly just eating and sleeping right
now.

5
weeks: Schulz is a calm, friendly puppy.
He's very curious, he likes to explore, but he
also like to sit at your feet and look up at you,
waiting patiently for you to pet him or pick him
up.
7weeks:
Schulz still remains a calm, patient, eager
pup. Very willing to sit in your lap or wait
at your feet until you will give him
attention. He is not demanding.

10
week update: If forced to choose a pup to keep
between Schultz and Tank it would be very
difficult. They are both big, strong and
healthy. Schulz is slightly less aggressive
than Tank, but both are not overly aggressive in
the first place. Schulz eagerly retrieved
the frog we threw for him. 12
week update: Zak (Schulz ) is now at his new home
with his two "big brothers" full grown
Lab Retrievers. These people know a good
thing when they see one. They have two
beautiful Black Labs and Zak (Schulz) will have
lots of fun and be well-cared for in his new home.
Sharalee,
Just to let you know Zak is doing great. It
only took seven days to house train him to the
point where he goes to the door. He has
really fit into the family very nicely. He
comes to his name now and has mastered sit.
He wears out his brothers but that’s good for
them. He sleeps in our room at night on his
own bed and is just starting to sleep through the
night. Even with our best intentions to keep
him confined to the tile in the house he has been
so good he has full run of the house at all times
and we don’t regret giving him that freedom
(yet). One thing, he snores a lot and very
loud (very funny).
I
just finished a roll of film, I will get double
copies and if you send me your mailing address I
would love to send you out pictures of Zak and his
new brothers. October 31st, 2004

Sharalee,
Just to let you know Zack was neutered yesterday.
He is absolutely fine. I believe they were 6
months on Sunday and Zack weighed in at 68 pounds.
He did have separation anxiety so I brought him
home to recover once he was awake.
I
hope all is going well.
Talk to you soon Jan. 13th, 2005
Hi
Sharalee,
It is so nice to hear from you. I hope all
is well at your new place. Zak is doing
great! He weighs 90 lbs and is an absolutely
beautiful dog. Spoiled rotten, but
beautiful. He is tall and slim and strong as
an ox. We were just saying this morning that
he should have been a hunting dog because his
instincts to hunt are so dominant. I have to
say he has never done any damage in the house what
so ever, or in the yard for that matter.
We
lost our 3 year old Mick in May of this year.
It turned out Mick had Wobbler disease. We
tried everything we could think of even taking him
to the chiropractor but he was in so much pain and
eventually he lost his balance completely.
We had no choice but to let him go. It was a
really hard time for us and having Zak helped us
to move on. It was amazing as young as he
was he just knew how much we needed him.
Good news is Ky fully recovered from his surgery (TPLO)
and is as good or better shape than ever, I think
Zak is keeping him young. The two dogs are
really close and are able to really enjoy one
another.
We
will be getting another dog when the time is
right. I would want Zak to be at least 2
years old. I don’t want to rob him of
being the puppy. When the time comes you
will be hearing from us. Zak is the soundest
dog we have had to date, thank you so much for
being responsible breeders.
We
wish you and your family the best and have a merry
Christmas. December 8th, 2005
